FOOTBALL: MARK Robins hopes negotiations regarding young striker George Thomas’ can be ‘put to bed’ amid a potential move.
Thomas, who scored one of two goals at Wembley in April to clinch the Checkatrade Trophy in front of 43,000 Coventry City fans, has been linked with a move to Leicester throughout the off-season.
However Robins today revealed that ‘the usual stuff’ is delaying the situation.
And the gaffer admitted that negotiations could’ve been handled ‘slightly differently’.
Speaking at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon, Robins said: “It’s dragged on.
“We just want it to be put to bed so everybody can move forward.
“It could’ve been done and dusted a while ago but we’re waiting on the final decision to be made.
“Ot could’ve been handled slightly differently and done more swiftly for everybody concerned.”
