RUGBY UNION - Coventry name squad for Jersey Reds clash

Coventry Editorial 17th Sep, 2022   0

COVENTRY RFC have named their squad for the second fixture of the RFU Championship season away at Jersey Reds.

Alex Rae’s men make the trip to the Channel Islands to play Jersey Reds after beating Bedford Blues last weekend.

Toby Trinder makes his 50th appearance for the club alongside Harry Seward and captain Jordon Poole in the front row.

And James Tyas packs down next to George Smith in a familiar-looking second row whilst Fred Betteridge and Senitiki Nayalo swap positions with Josh Bainbridge at blindside flanker to complete the back row.

Former Jersey man Will Lane plays alongside Pat Pellegrini in the half-back pairing with Lucas Titherington and Will Wand in midfield.

James Martin, Will Talbot-Davies and Louis Brown make up an unchanged back three.

Adding power from the bench are front row replacements Will Biggs, Danny Southworth, Jake Bridge and Suva Ma’asi with Tom Ball providing cover for the back row.

And young half-back’s Fin Ogden and Evan Mitchell will be looking to make an impact from the bench, whilst the electric Shea Cornish completes the squad.
