COVENTRY Rugby have confirmed eight players will depart the club at the end of the 2025/26 Champ Rugby season.

Among the notable departures, Toby Trinder will depart having made more than 100 appearances for Coventry.

And prolific winger David Opoku-Fordjour will also leave Coventry after signing a one-year deal with Prem side Sale Sharks.

Suva Ma’asi, Chester Owen, Oli Morris, Morgan Adderly-Jones, Ewan Baker and Dylan Morris will also depart the club at the end of the campaign.

Coventry head coach Alex Rae said: “It’s always sad to say goodbye to good people, and all the players who are moving on are that.

“They’ve all contributed and played a big part for us, and no doubt wherever they head to next they’ll thrive and do really well.

“Hopefully there are still some memories to make as a group as well.”

Prop Trinder has made 122 appearances for the club since arriving at the Nick Newbold Stadium in 2020 following an initial loan spell.

Academy product Opoku-Fordjour departs having scored 21 tries in 52 appearances for the club.

The 22-year-old will join his brother Asher at Sale next season.

Long-serving hooker Ma’asi departs after scoring 23 tries in 77 appearances since joining Coventry from Cornish Pirates in 2021.
