COVENTRY Rugby defence coach James Scaysbrook will depart the club at the end of the season.
Scaysbrook will leave Butts Park Arena to become defence coach at Ireland Women.
He spent five years with Coventry after joining the club in 2020.
Scaysbrook said: “Thank you to everyone at Coventry Rugby for a great five years.
“I’ll be leaving the BPA with some great memories, and experiences that I will carry with me throughout my coaching career.”
Coventry head coach, Alex Rae added: “It’s always disappointing to lose really good people, and Scays is just that.
“The coaches, players, and I have really enjoyed working with him.
“His work ethic and commitment have been brilliant, and we’ll all really miss having him here.
“He goes with our best wishes, and we’re all excited to see how he progresses going forward.”
Coventry CEO, Nick Johnston said: “The club is deeply grateful to James for his dedication, professionalism, and the positive influence he has brought to Coventry Rugby.
“His efforts over the past five years have helped lay strong foundations for future success.
“I would like to thank him and his family for the dedication and the support that his wife and kids have given the club too, and whilst we are always sad to see good people leave the club, we are very proud to continue developing people and creating a platform for them to progress to the top of the game.”
