RUGBY UNION - Coventry Rugby name squad for Matt Gallagher Cup clash against Nottingham

COVENTRY Rugby have named their squad for the second edition of the Matt Gallagher Cup against Nottingham.

The fixture, dedicated to a former player of both Coventry and Nottingham, is the first to take place since Gallagher passed away last month.

Alex Rae named Aristot Benz-Salomon, captain Jordon Poole and Eliot Salt in the front row.

In the second row, Dan Green and Senitiki Nayalo start Allan Ferrie, Tom Ball and Morgan Strong in the back row.

At scrum-half, Sam Maunder links up with Tommy Mathews in the half-backs.

The midfield combination features Api Bavadra and also Dafydd-Rhys Tiueti.




Out wide, Jack Reeves and David Opoku-Fordjour take their places on the wings, with Tom Bacon at full-back to complete the starting XV.

Among the replacements, Murray Davidson, Keston Lines and Matt Johnson provide cover in the front row, while Jack Shine and Mackenzie Graham offer reinforcements in the pack.


The trio of Josh Barton, Morgan Adderly-Jones and also Onisivoro Sukani Nayagi round off the matchday squad.

Coventry travel to Nottingham on Friday, April 10 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Bay.
