COVENTRY Rugby have retained three of their young prospects for the 2024/25 season.
Back-rower Chester Owen, fly-half and centre Theo Mannion and scrum-half Fin Ogden will all remain at the Butts Park Arena for at least another 12 months.
And Coventry head coach Alex Rae insists there is more to come from all three players next season.
Rae said: “All three work hard in training and want to improve as rugby players which is one of the big things we look for.
“They are all still only 20-years-old but Chester has grabbed his chance with both hands in recent weeks and that shows everyone what is possible if you show a good attitude and put the effort in.
“There is plenty more to come from all three and that is exciting for them, us and the supporters.”
Former Leicester academy back-rower Owen forced his way into the senior squad and made 10 appearances including one league start and scored two tries before grabbing a brace against England under-20s.
Mannion featured from the bench in the latter stages of the season and kicked a couple of conversions against England under-20s in the club’s recent 150th anniversary match.
Ogden made five appearances during the course of the 2023/24 with the player behind Will Chudley, Will Lane and Toby Venner in the scrum-half position.
All three players enjoyed loan spells in the National Leagues this season, notably at Leicester Lions and Dudley Kingswinford.
