PAT Pellegrini starred with a 20-point individual haul as Coventry Rugby secured a sixth straight win with a 52-26 victory away at Nottingham.
Pellegrini crossed for two tries and added 10 points from the kicking tee while Chester Owen also dotted down twice as James Martin, Jordon Poole and Tony Venner all scored tries at The Bay.
And the result means Coventry remain second in the Championship table, four points behind leaders Ealing Trailfinders who have a game in-hand.
Nottingham lost Will Yarnell to the sin bin early on and Coventry made the most of the man advantage to score the game’s first try on nine minutes as Martin dotted down in the corner from Tom Hitchcock’s long pass.
And Pellegrini eventually extended Cov’s lead with his side’s second try following some sustained pressure on the Nottingham line.
However, the home side responded almost immediately when Morgan Bunting scored and converted his own try.
The visitors took control of the game before the break as captain Poole finished from a lineout drive before Cov were awarded a penalty try with Nottingham’s Kai Owen sent to the sin bin.
With the bonus point secured, Alex Rae’s side appeared to lose concentration briefly as Ellis Mee crossed for Nottingham shortly after the interval.
However, Owen dotted down his first try for Cov in style on 44 minutes as he stepped past two defenders before powering over from 45-metres out before the same players touched down again three minutes later.
Nottingham hit back soon after as wing David Williams intercepted a pass on his own 22 before racing away to the posts while Mee scored his second try of the game to secure a bonus point for the home side.
However, Cov made sure of the points when replacement scrum half Venner scored his fourth try in just two games.
And Pellegrini completed the scoring with an interception try from the halfway line to cap off another fine afternoon for the visitors.
Coventry are next in action at home to Bedford Blues on Saturday, April 20 with kick-off at 3pm at Butts Park Arena.
