JORDON Poole has been named as Coventry RFC’s new captain for the 2022/23 season.
He made 16 appearances for the club on loan from Gallagher Premiership side Exeter Chiefs last season before making the move permanent this summer.
Poole’s leadership qualities shone through last term, despite his dual-registration status.
The prop was chosen to lead the team during their run to the Championship Cup final in the absence of Ryan Burrows.
Poole said: “I’m chuffed! I had a taster of it last season in the Cup run, and I’ve spent a lot of good time with this group now.
“Ideally, I want to lead from the front, and let my actions speak louder than words.”
