PREMIERSHIP-bound Will Wand heads a list of 12 players who will leave Coventry Rugby following the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.
Wand won the club’s players’ player of the year award after enjoying a stellar season in the Championship in which he scored 14 tries in 23 appearances.
And the centre is one of 12 players to depart Cov who secured a second successive top-three finish in the league this season.
Rae said: “It’s always sad to see good people leave and all these lads are all good people.
“They’ve all contributed massively to the team and worn the shirt with great pride. They’ll all go on to be successful wherever they end up and are extremely welcome back at the BPA.”
Wand will move to a Premiership club at the end of his Cov deal while Ollie Andrews, Jack Bartlett, Ollie Betteridge, Will Chudley, Louis James, Leo Jowett, Evan Mitchell, Adam Nicol, Paddy Ryan, Harry Stone and Tobi Wilson will also leave the club.
Cov will present the departing players with a framed shirt to thank them for their efforts at the end of Coventry’s 150th anniversary match against England under-20s on Saturday, May 25.
