THE SKY Blues will face Worcester City in the First Round of this season’s FA Cup.
Steven Pressley’s side were drawn out against the Conference North side in Monday’s draw and the game is set to be played at the Ricoh Arena on the weekend of November 8.
The last time the two teams played was back in 1982/83 when the Sky Blues were based in the top flight (First Division).
Paul Moss put Worcester in front that day but the Sky Blues ran out 3-1 winners.
“It’s absolutely great for the club.” said Rich Widdowson, community director at Worcester City.
“It is one of those where you either want a big club or a winnable game, what we didn’t want was an unattractive game and not get anything out of it so this game is going to be massive for us.
“The good thing about the FA Cup is people want to know you and want to be involved. For lower league sides, like ourselves, it really is the magic of the cup.”
Ticket details will be made available in the coming days at ccfc.co.uk
