FOOTBALL: THE Sky Blues will play twice during their pre-season tour to Spain which takes place in less than two weeks.
Mark Robins’ side will face Ligue Two club Valenciennes on Tuesday, July 11, before taking on opposition yet to be confirmed on Friday, July 14.
Both fixtures will take place at the Pinater Arena.
Valenciennes finished 14th in the second tier of French football last season.
City will fly out to the Alicante region on Sunday, July 9, following the opening pre-season friendly at Sutton United.
The squad will return to the UK exactly a week later.
Following the confirmed signing of former Sutton striker Maxime Biamou yesterday, the tour presents an opportunity for the new look Sky Blues squad to bond before their League Two campaign starts on Saturday, August 5, at home to Notts County.
Manager Mark Robins told the club’s website: “It’s really important that we get everybody together in a different environment to prepare intensely for the season ahead.
“It will be very competitive and a vital part of our preparation.”
