Soaraway success for Coventry TaeKwon-Do head coach with RAF

Coventry Editorial 26th Jul, 2018   0

COVENTRY Tae Kwon-Do Club’s head coach helped the Royal Air Force’s Tae Kwon-Do section come away with medals at an inter-services martial arts competition to mark 100 years of the RAF.

Jon Tizick travelled up and down to RAF Digby to prepare the 14-strong team which would be split into two squads of seven ahead of the competition at RAF Cramwell which featured the RAF, the Army and the Royal Navy.

On the day the two RAF teams took three of the four gold medals available and took silver in the fourth event.

Black belt male Brennen Page and female Jenny Mills, both from the RAF squad, also took the gold in the male and female individual categories.

Tizick has since been invited back to continue his coaching of the team on a monthly basis.
