FOOTBALL: MARK Robins has fought off attention of multiple clubs to land the signature of former Sutton United striker Maxime Biamou for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Sky Blues with the transfer subject to completion of a medical.
Biamou scored 14 goals for Sutton last season, including three in the club’s memorable FA Cup run – which ended against Arsenal in February.
The Frenchman started his career in his native country, before moving to England with Sutton last Summer.
Mark Robins told the CCFC website: “I’m delighted to welcome Maxime to Coventry City, having beaten a number of other clubs at our level to his signature.
“He provides an important different option to the attacking threats which we currently have.
“He is a raw talent with pace, power and aggression, and is also good in the air.
“We look forward to working with him and developing his ability further.”
