SCHOOLGIRL Kare Adenegan continued her rise up the paralympic ladder after winning a hat-trick of events at this year’s All England Athletics Senior Disability Games in Birmingham.
The 12-year-old, who was inspired to take up wheelchair racing after watching her idol Hannah Cockroft in action during London 2012, took gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m events on the second day of competition (June 16).
Kare also came runner-up in the 800m category after finishing two seconds behind winner Martyna Snopek.
Fellow Godiva Harriers star Ben Rowlings also tasted success by the winning the 100m, 200m and 400m men’s events.
Like Kare, Ben dominated from start to finish in all three events and came second in the 800m race.
And finally Marie Hawkeswood came first in the women’s seated javelin event to take Coventry’s medals tally at the competition to nine.
