SWIMMING - Artistic swimmers help Midlands win Regional Games title

Coventry Editorial 16th Jun, 2023 Updated: 16th Jun, 2023   0

FIVE of Rugby Swimming Club’s artistic swimmers helped the Midlands win the Swim England Regional Games title in Bristol.

Artistic swimming clubs from across England came together for the competition as the country’s best swimmers joined forces to form regional teams.

Rugby’s Imogen Ravenhall, Chloe Bartholomew, Keva Ennis, Frankie Klym and Olivia Barry were representing the Midlands team as six regions and 87 swimmers competed across three elements.

The Midlands region won all three elements – land, figures and relay – as the group pulled out all of the stops to come away with a dominant victory in the final relay event.

The Midlands team brought an end to London’s two-year reign as Regional Games champions.
