Team GB orienteer Gardner urges locals to give orienteering a try with Octavian Droobers this summer

OCTAVIAN Droobers Orienteering Club are encouraging the local community to get involved with the range of events ongoing at the club this summer.

The club are open to newcomers and experienced orienteers of all ages, from five to 85, to join them for events held every Wednesday evening.

Ryton Pools Country Park hosts the next meeting on July 10th, followed a trip to Whinfield Park in Rugby on July 17th, before heading to Oversley Wood near Alcester on July 24th.

Team GB and Octavian Droobers orienteer Will Gardner credits his early participation in the sport for his successful rise to the international stage, and urges more people to give orienteering a try.




Meetings take place between 6pm and 7.30pm, with instructions, compasses and maps provided.
