COVENTRY Blaze have announced the signing of Canadian forward Colton Yellow Horn from Glasgow Clan.
The 35-year-old joins the Blaze following a season with the Glasgow side where he amassed 55 points (11 goals, 44 assists) in 54 regular season games which ranked 15th of all players.
His assists tally was fourth overall and he also added a helper in two playoff games.
Yellow Horn has consistently produced in many of Europe’s best leagues which include Austria, Czechia, Slovakia and Romania.
Head Coach Danny Stewart said: “Getting Colton here next season was big for us. He played centre last year, but can also play the wing, and we have seen time and time again the importance of that versatility.
“He is point producer plain and simple. He has played a big part offensively everywhere that he has gone and we expect the same from him next season.
“We liked his hockey head. A guy that sees the ice, reads plays and is one step ahead. He can distribute, but also score, and he will play a huge part for us five on five and on the powerplay.”
In 2015/16 he was named the Most Valuable Player in the Austrian EBEL and led the play-offs for points (29) and assists (21) in 18 games for Orli Znojmo.
With SC CsĂkszereda he was an Erste Liga Champion in 2020/21 and he has also appeared in 10 Champions Hockey League games with six assists.
A product of the WHL, Yellow Horn spent several years in the AHL, ECHL and CHL before his European journey, again amassing big offensive numbers.
