COVENTRY City have agreed a deal to make Jay Dasilva the club’s first summer signing upon the expiry of his contract at Bristol City.
Dasilva turned down a new deal at the Robins in favour of a switch to Coventry and will join the Sky Blues on July 1 having signed a four-year deal.
The 25-year-old made 144 appearances for the Robins during his five seasons at Ashton Gate having initially joined the club on loan ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins said: “We are delighted to announce Jay as our first signing of the 2023/24 season.
“We have monitored Jay for a while now and are delighted that, despite interest from elsewhere, he has decided to join Coventry City.
“He is dynamic, attack-minded wing back with great technical ability, who will add further quality and pace to our squad. We look forward to working with him.”
The left wing-back came through Chelsea’s youth academy where he won three FA Youth Cup and two UEFA Youth League titles.
He also won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship with England in 2017 and the Toulon Tournament the following year.
