NEW Coventry United Ladies shirt sponsor Hycolin have expressed their delight at securing a deal to adorn the club’s kits for the forthcoming season.

Hycolin, a subsidiary of local company Mirius, made their first appearance on the front of the Red and Greens shirt in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over London Bees in the FA Women’s Championship opener.

Hycolin products will also be used at Coventry’s Butts Park Arena home throughout the season to help combat COVID-19 and ensure the safety of fans, players and coaching staff on match days.

Jade Ogle, United’s director of football, was left particularly delighted by the deal, and hopes for a successful working relationship going forward.

“It was obvious from the outset that the visions and values of both entities were aligned,” she said.

“A local company supporting their local women’s team is invaluable and we are excited for the partnership to develop over the coming years.”

And those sentiments are backed by Mirius Commercial Director, Darren Langdon, who feels both parties can benefit enormously from the deal.

“We appreciate the challenges that women’s football is currently facing, and we are keen to help bring exposure to the sport and the community as a whole,” he said.

“As key partners in the Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, this sponsorship will further highlight the City of Coventry, Coventry United L.F.C and also help foster a culture of community – it personally gives me a fantastic feeling to be involved. We look forward to celebrating their successes throughout the coming season.”
