Warwick Racecourse all set for special Proudly Warwick Twilight Raceday

THOUSANDS of Warwickshire residents and businesses are set to join forces at the Proudly Warwick Twilight Raceday this Saturday.

Warwick Racecourse’s only evening fixture of the season is the second instalment of the inaugural Warwick May Racing Carnival and has already attracted huge interest in the town and surrounding region.

Hundreds of advance tickets have been sold ahead of the day, while the feature Warwick Medieval Banquet Dinner has also been well received, with a small number of tickets still available.

All CV34 residents can enter the Proudly Warwick Twilight Raceday for £10 on the gate and will be entered into a prize draw to win annual memberships to Warwick Racecourse, while children under the age of 17 enter for free.

“We’ve been working hard to put on a carnival which really endears itself to the people of Warwick and the surrounding area,” said Andre Klein, General Manager at Warwick Racecourse.

“We’re trying to involve as many people in the area as possible in the three May Racing Carnival events to bring the racecourse closer to the community.

“The support we’ve received has been extremely positive and it’s set to be one of our biggest attendances of the season on May 7.

“The business community has also really got behind the carnival, and there’s still a few opportunities available to get involved, so I’d urge companies to get in touch if they haven’t already to be part of the festival.”

The Medieval Banquet Dinner features a buffet feast, along with live music and entertainment. Tickets, priced at £90, include course admission, a drink on arrival, entry to the banquet, and a private seat at the table.

The first race is at 5.15pm, and last at 8.20pm. For more information or to buy tickets visit www.warwickracecourse.co.uk or call 01926 405 560.
