NETBALL: WASPS Netball will wear the iconic black and gold colours of Wasps for their debut season in the Netball Superleague and have also announced Jaguar Land Rover as their official main partner.

The new kit will be produced by iconic sport brand Gilbert and will include the Jaguar Land Rover logo, after the global car manufacturer signed a multi-year deal with the club.

The University of Warwick have also been announced as Wasps Netball Club partners, while DS Smith have enhanced their current partnership with Wasps Rugby by extending their support to Wasps Netball. All three parties will feature on the new kit.

“This is a historic moment for netball in the West Midlands, and everyone can’t wait for our first home match on March 5,” said David Armstrong, group chief executive officer of Wasps.

“Jaguar Land Rover will be one of the biggest club partners in the Superleague and we hope that working alongside businesses such as theirs we can really raise the profile of netball in the UK.

“We’re also grateful to the University of Warwick for becoming our official training base and providing top class facilities to the team.

“We are trying to build a winning club here and having these great companies supporting us in a variety of ways is crucial to achieving that – ensuring a bright future for Wasps Netball.”

Wasps Netball was formed in June 2016, and since then director of netball Tamsin Greenway has assembled a squad of international experience and youth as the club looks to challenge at the top end of the Netball Superleague.

The squad will wear their new kit for the first time on February 21 when they take on Sirens at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena.
