FOOTBALL: ‘WE’RE desperate to do the City proud’.

That’s the message from Coventry City manager Mark Robins after his side defeated Stoke City 2-1 at the Ricoh Arena.

Goals from Jordan Willis and Jack Grimmer booked the Sky Blues a spot in the fourth round hat.

Speaking after the game, Robins said some ‘unbelievably mature’ performances from his side’s younger players helped his team pick up the win.

He said: “We’re desperate to do the city proud.

“The support for us today was massive, and we need to keep supporters interested.

“It’s a really proud day for me.

“I remember when we played Tottenham in the third round a few years back and we regretted not coming out after them.

“Today we did that and put Stoke under pressure.”
