Man dies after being hit by lorry on M40

A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a lorry on the M40.

The man was hit at around 3.30am this morning (Monday) on the southbound side near Gaydon, between junctions 12 and 13.

The man was believed to be in his 40s and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and police are awaiting formal identification.

A police spokesman said: “This was a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.




“The investigation is ongoing and we’re appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information to get in touch.”
