A ‘SPRING fling’ could help to mend a broken heart – that is the appeal for unwanted items from a Coventry charity.
Coventry residents are being urged to donate preloved clothes and accessories to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop on Smithford Way, as the charity retailer celebrates its annual Reuse Revolution campaign to help fund vital lifesaving research.
Andrea Baker-Payne, Area Manager at British Heart Foundation, said: “Spring is the season for a clear-out, so we’re asking people to have a ‘spring fling’ – bag up what you no longer love or use and donate it to us.
“At the moment we are need of womenswear, menswear and shoes and handbags. We can also rehome quality homeware, small furniture, books and toys. Your donations help raise vital funds for the BHF’s research.
“We rely on the generosity of people in Coventry to keep the shop stocked. That cutlery set you no longer need or those trainers you no longer wear, could help fund the next research breakthrough – and they could be exactly what someone else is looking for.”
Drop items into the Smithford Way shop during opening hours, post donations for free by printing a postage label online, or arrange a free collection for larger donations.
