A CITY-wide celebration will mark Coventry’s return to the Premier League on Bank Holiday Monday (May 4).
The We Are Back: Live event will feature a Bus Parade and a one-day music festival in War Memorial Park for 50,000 fans.
Taking place from 1pm to 7pm at War Memorial Park, the festival will feature performances from The Enemy and Tom Grennan.
The route of the bus parade.Earlier that day, players and management will take to an open-top bus, bringing the celebrations into the heart of the community.
A club spokesperson said: “This isn’t just a parade – it’s a moment for the entire city to come together, share the pride, and celebrate what we’ve achieved as one.
“The parade route has been carefully designed to reach deep into the community – including areas full of passionate supporters who haven’t previously experienced an event like this on their doorstep, bringing the Club closer than ever to the people who make it what it is.
“From neighbourhoods to local landmarks, this is a chance for fans of all generations to line the route, wave the team through, and be part of a historic day for our club.”
After leaving the Coventry Building Society Arena at 1pm, the parade will formally begin from Holbrook Way after its junction with Jimmy Hill Way – the road named after the club’s last top-flight promotion winning manager.
It will then go right on to Holbrook Lane before then going left on Parkgate Road.
The Parade will then travel down Beake Avenue, before using Bruce Road to then join Wallace Road. The route will continue along Norman Place Road and then go left on to Hollyfast Road and then Westhill Road.
The Buses will then head down Barkers Butts Lane, before turning right to join Moseley Avenue. After crossing Holyhead Road, the parade route will travel Four Pounds Avenue and Queensland Avenue.
From there, the public section of the Parade reaches its conclusion when it arrives at Hearsall Common.
Along the way, the route passes pubs, community hubs, and residential streets, creating opportunities for fans to gather, celebrate, and share the moment.
The celebrations continue with We Are Back: Live at War Memorial Park from 1pm to 7pm.
The festival will showcase a mix of local music and entertainment, celebrating the creativity and diversity of Coventry, before welcoming the promotion-winning players and staff on stage.
This will be a fully ticketed event, with tickets priced at £5 for Season Ticket holders and £10 for non-Season Ticket holders.
