Midlands hotel has £80million renovation

A MIDLANDS hotel is having a major expansion and renovation project worth £80million.

The Belfry Hotel and Resort in Sutton Coldfield has began its multi-million pound expansion and is due for completion in Autumn 2025.

The project will see a 852sqm event space, built and designed for 648 guests for banqueting and has a max capacity of 920.

Chris Eigelaar, Resort Director: “We are experiencing increased demand for large events in the luxury venue market from both new and existing customers.

“The Masters Suite and adjoining bedrooms will transform our offering by providing a dedicated space for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events market.

“It will also be the perfect luxury venue for large weddings.”




There will also be an additional 80 electric vehicle charging points and free on-site parking.

As well as 149 bedrooms in adjoining building and a new leisure club with a pool, slides and hot tubs.
