Glow in the Moonlight run raises thousands for Myton Hospice

THE RAIN did not deter the thousands of people who dusted of their leg warmers to raise more than £30,000 for Myton Hospice.

St Nicholas Park in Warwick was filled with all things neon as fund-raisers took part in the Glow in the Moonlight event.

People walked or ran the 5k route which featured different zones and ended with a 80s disco.

Myton events team leader Lucy Turner said: “We are thrilled to bits with this year’s Glow in the Moonlight.

“Despite the drizzly weather, more than1,000 participants lit up St Nicholas Park with their neon outfits and accessories. It was amazing to see the local community get so on board with this event and we are so grateful for everybody’s support, we’re hoping to raise £70,000 from this event which would be enough to fund 1,000 Myton at Home patient visits.”
