A HUMANITARIAN has been named Coventry’s latest Good Citizen.
Mohram Ali was presented with a Good Citizen Award by Lord Mayor Coun Rachel Lancaster in recognition of his lifelong dedication to community service and charitable leadership.
As a founding member of the Coventry Bangladeshi Language School and a trustee and Chairperson of the Jalalabad Mosque, Mohram has helped strengthen community cohesion and created spaces of education, guidance and support for residents across the city.
His charitable work extends beyond Coventry, spanning decades of humanitarian aid to offer support for vulnerable families, flood victims, Rohingya refugees, and communities affected by global crises.
Coun Lancaster said: “Mohram’s enduring service, leadership, and generosity of spirit exemplify the qualities of a true Good Citizen. He has made a profound and lasting impact on his community and inspires all who know him.”
