GRANTS of up to £5,000 are now on offer to organisations and freelance creative practitioners in Coventry – and time is running out to apply.

Coventry City Council has launched Made In Cov, a new grants programme offering grants of £2,000 to £5,000 to supports arts and creative activity that benefits Coventry residents.

The scheme aims to bring more arts and creative opportunities to people across the city, particularly in areas where these are scarce.

Funding can support workshops, participatory projects, small festivals, events, exhibitions, showcases, creative trails and digital arts projects.

The main aim is to bring together local artists, creatives, residents and community groups, ensuring that people feel welcome, included and able to participate.

While applications are welcome from all parts of Coventry, priority will be given to activity taking place in Wyken Croft, Stoke Heath, Clifford Park, Little Heath, Henley Green, Wood End, Bell Green, Willenhall and Foleshill West.

Projects in other areas must demonstrate how they benefit local communities, particularly people experiencing disadvantage.

Applications close at midday on Monday (May 11). Visit www.coventry.gov.uk/madeincovgrants for more information and to apply.
