THE Football Association (FA) have slapped Coventry City with a £10k fine following a mass confrontation during their home game against Sheffield United in November.
The FA fined the Sky Blues £10,000 while the Blades received an £80,000 fine for their part in the brawl.
The game took place on Saturday, November 23 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
The FA alleged both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area staff did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the tunnel area at half time.
Coventry denied the charge while Sheffield United admitted their charge.
An independent Regulatory Commission found the charge against Coventry City to be proven and imposed the fines on the two clubs following a hearing.

The two teams played out a heated 2-2 draw in Coventry’s first home game since sacking former boss Mark Robins.
After Tyrese Campbell put the Blades ahead, Norman Bassette equalised for the home side.
However, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi restored United’s lead before Bassette and Anel Ahmedhodzic came together in an off-the-ball altercation.
The incident resulted in Ahmedhodzic receiving a straight red card for violent conduct.
City eventually levelled the game for a second time when Bobby Thomas headed in at a corner.
