COVENTRY City goalkeeper Carl Rushworth has won the Championship’s Golden Glove award after recording the most clean sheets this season.
Rushworth recorded his 17th shutout of the season on the final day of the 2025/26 campaign as Coventry romped to a 4-0 victory at Watford.
The loanee pipped Ipswich’s Christian Walton to the award after the latter recorded 16 clean sheets across the campaign.
Rushworth said: “It’s an honour to win the Golden Glove award and something I’m really proud of.
“It’s obviously a real team effort and the lads in front of me have been phenomenal so I would like to give them, and all the staff here, a shoutout for all their support.
“We’ve had an unbelievable season as a team and it’s one that will live long in the memory.”
On loan at the Sky Blues from Brighton and Hove Albion, Coventry recently expressed their interest in signing Rushworth on a permanent deal.
Fellow Coventry goalkeeper Ben Wilson won the Golden Glove award at the end of the 2022/23 campaign after recording 20 clean sheets.
