COVENTRY City have made a third bid for Swansea City captain Matt Grimes as the club’s pursuit to sign the midfielder intensifies.
According to BBC Sport, the Sky Blues have made a third offer for the 29-year-old midfielder.
Coventry have already had two bids rejected for the Swans skipper.
The BBC believe a bid of between £3.5m and 4m could be enough to lure the midfielder to the CBS Arena.
Grimes signed a contract extension to remain with Swansea until 2027 last August.
He became Swansea captain in 2019 and has made 333 appearances for the Swans scoring 16 goals.
Coventry make the trip to Swansea this weekend (Saturday, February 1, kick-off 3pm).
Sky Blues head coach Frank Lampard is yet to add to his squad during the January transfer window.
City saw a loan move for Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo break down after talks between the two clubs.
