COVENTRY City full-back Jay Dasilva suffered World Cup play-off heartbreak with Wales during the international break.
Dasilva played the full 90 minutes, extra time and penalties as Wales suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Wales led through Daniel James’ goal only for former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to score a late equaliser for Bosnia at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Dzeko’s goal sent the game to extra time with neither side able to find a winner which led to a penalty shootout.
However, Wales missed two of their spot kicks as Brennan Johnson and Neco Williams failed to score which allowed Bosnia to triumph 4-2 on penalties.
Coventry full-back Dasilva made his eighth appearance for Wales at senior international level.
However, his hopes of playing at this summer’s World Cup are now over following a play-off semi-final defeat.
