COVENTRY Sphinx saw their winless run stretch to six matches following a 2-0 home defeat against Shepshed Dynamo.
An early goal from Niall Prenderville put Shepshed ahead before Jesse Friend doubled Dynamo’s lead after the break at the Cameron Slater Arena.
The result means Coventry sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, one point above the relegation zone with six matches left to play.
Shepshed took the lead on 10 minutes when Prenderville headed a corner from the right into the bottom left corner at the near post.
And the visitors doubled their advantage from another corner on 49 minutes as Friend scuffed a shot into the net after Sphinx failed to deal with the initial delivery from the right.
Coventry are next in action against Coleshill Town on Saturday, March 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Pack Meadow.
