FORMER Coventry City manager Mark Robins is a contender for the vacant Leicester City job according to bookmakers.
The Sky Blues sacked Robins earlier this month and are yet to announce his successor with Rhys Carr named interim manager.
And Robins (priced at 16/1 with Sky Bet) has now emerged as a contender to replace Steve Cooper who lost his job after just five months in charge at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester sacked Cooper on Sunday (November 24) with the club two points above the relegation zone (now one point following Ipswich Town’s draw with Manchester United).
David Moyes and Graham Potter (both 6/4) are joint favourites to land the Leicester job while Ruud van Nistelrooy (11/4) is also a contender.
However, Sky Sports News have since reported Coventry are in ‘advanced talks’ with Frank Lampard over the managerial vacancy.
Just ahead of Robins in the betting for the Leicester job is West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan (12/1).
Robins is fifth favourite to become Leicester’s next manager.
If given the chance to lead the Foxes, it would be his first managerial job in the Premier League.
Former Coventry City player, coach and caretaker manager Lee Carsley (20/1) is also a contender.
