FRANK Lampard is demanding even more from his Coventry City side with the Sky Blues seeking a fourth successive victory at Swansea City this weekend.
Coventry have won their last three league matches after securing victories against Bristol City, Blackburn Rovers and Watford.
And with City back in the top half of the Championship table, Lampard wants even more from his squad this weekend.
Lampard said: “It’s an opportunity to keep going. It’s not easy to string wins together in this league at times. We all strive for consistency, and we’re really pleased with three wins in the league back-to-back.
“It helps feeling and feeling slight momentum, but we have to demand more because the minute you don’t demand more, this league will kick you.
“We go into this weekend with some good confidence but also with an understanding that we go again and we’re trying to get our fourth win.
“We’re going away from home and have we won enough games away from home, no.
“We’re not here to predict what Swansea will turn up. We have to expect that the best Swansea and the best Swansea can compete with any team in this league.”
The Sky Blues could make their first signing of the January transfer window prior to the game against Swansea.
According to BBC Sport, Coventry have agreed a deal with the Welsh club to sign Swans midfielder Matt Grimes.
Swansea confirmed they have accepted a bid from an unnamed Championship club for Grimes – believed to be Coventry.
The Swans have since replaced Grimes as club captain.
City had two bids rejected for the 29-year-old before seeing a third offer accepted.
Coventry make the trip to Swansea on Saturday, February 1 with kick-off at 3pm at the Swansea.com Stadium.
