JOHN Arne Riise has backed Coventry City to go ‘all the way’ this season and achieve a dream return to the Premier League.
The former Liverpool and Norway star won the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time in English football.
And Riise, who played 110 times for Norway, does not believe any side will be able to catch Coventry in the Championship this season.
Speaking to footitalia.com, Riise said: “Not by looks of it, no [on whether anyone will catch Coventry]. I think what Frank Lampard has done has been incredible.
“I remember I saw when he took charge of Coventry his first speech to the team. The way he spoke to the players was brilliant.
“The players love him, the fans love him. You can see that during and after the game.
“He’s in a good place as a manager, and they look like a strong team. I’m quite sure they’re going to go all the way this season.”
