COVENTRY Blaze have confirmed the signing of Great Britain international Brett Perlini for the 2026/27 Elite League season.
The 36-year-old has spent the past two seasons with Cardiff Devils and helped the Welsh side lift the Continental Cup in 2024/25.
He also helped the Devils claim the Elite League play-off title last season.
The experienced forward has recorded 81 points (33 goals, 48 assists) across 127 Elite League competition games.
Perlini starred during Cardiff’s Continental Cup-winning campaign with five points including a hat-trick in the final.
Blaze head coach, Kevin Moore said: “Brett is a proven goalscorer who plays the game the right way.
“He will make an immediate impact in all three zones, while bringing elite veteran habits and winning experience to our group.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brett to the Blaze.”
Selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the seventh round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Perlini brings a wealth of experience from across Europe.
He has also played for Saale Bulls Halle in Germany, Herning Blue Fox in Denmark, Pustertal/Val Pusteria in the AlpsHL and Ringerike in Norway between 2020 and 2024.
Prior to his spell overseas, Perlini spent three seasons with Elite League rivals Nottingham Panthers from 2017 to 2020, where he won an Elite Series title.
His professional career has also included spells with six different teams in the ECHL.
Perlini began his hockey career in England before moving to Canada to continue his development.
He went on to play NCAA hockey at Michigan State University, laying the foundations for a professional career that has now spanned more than a decade.
On the international stage, Perlini has been a regular for Great Britain, competing at the IIHF World Championship and winning three Division IA gold medals.
He was also named the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP) during Great Britain’s memorable promotion-winning campaign in 2018.
