FRANK Nouble and Simeon Jackson are two of the most high profile names who have this week been released by the Sky Blues.
Former West Ham youngster Nouble initially signed on loan back in September and was signed on a short term deal until the end of the season after being released by Championship side Ipswich Town.
The 23-year-old scored seven goals in 34 appearances but failed to impress new manager Tony Mowbray.
Jackson is another big name casualty after struggling to maintain a first team slot.
The former Norwich striker had been tipped by many fans to become a key player under former boss Steven Pressley, but the 28-year-old managed to score just three times in 30 appearances.
Midfielder Adam Barton has also been released along with experienced defenders Andy Webster and Danny Pugh.
Shaun Miller, Al Bangura and Blair Turgott complete the eight-player list who will not be offered new deals.
The Sky Blues have also confirmed this week that Mowbray will be holding talks with Marcus Tudgay, defender Reda Johnson and midfielder Ivor Lawton on extending their stay with the club.
Academy graduate Jordan Willis will remain at the Ricoh Arena for another year after taking up the one-year option on his current deal.
And left-back Chris Stokes will also be offered the chance to return after impressing during a loan spell from Forest Green where he has recently been released.
