A LEAMINGTON school has shut its doors and all students told to isolate after a number of people were tested positive for coronavirus.

North Leamington School says it will be closed until Monday November 2 after ‘recent positive cases of covid 19 within the school community’.

The decision was made alongside Public Health England and Warwickshire County Council Public Health.

In a letter to parents and carers the school said: “School will close from Monday October 19 until Monday November 2 when we hope to fully open to all students as normal.

“It is recommended all students self-isolate for 14 days as part of our collective efforts to get the virus back under control and to avoid further outbreaks next term.”

Students will be taught online as they were during lockdown.
